Global Sourcing & Purchasing Manager

Lyndhurst, NJ

Responsibilities:

  • Manage relationships with overseas manufacturers and suppliers.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, lead times, and supply agreements.
  • Oversee import logistics, including ocean freight, customs, and supplier coordination.
  • Lead product development initiatives, source new products, and identify new manufacturing partners.
  • Analyze purchasing data, inventory levels, and market trends to support business growth.
  • Collaborate with sales and operations to align purchasing strategies with customer demand.
  • Support and help develop the purchasing team as the company grows.

 

Qualification:

  • 5–10 years of purchasing, sourcing, or import experience
  • Strong background in international sourcing and supplier negotiations.
  • Experience managing overseas manufacturers and import programs.
  • Knowledge of ocean freight, customs, and global supply chain operations.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Experience with product development is a plus.
  • Leadership experience or interest in growing into a leadership role preferred.
