Crew Manager

Job description
The Crew Manager acts as an intermediary between the field workers and the management office to
ensure effective communication. In addition, they are responsible for any problems or conflicts that may
arise at a job. It is their responsibility to ensure smooth deliveries, installs while being productive and
cost efficient.
Our goal and success of this position is for one person to take full responsibility.
Ensure completion once the install is assigned to the install team, if the crew didn’t complete the job
that day it should the responsibility of the Crew Manager to put it on schedule to be completed.

Job Entails:
• Truck Routing
• Install crews – manage and schedule
• Fleet Management
• Providing pricing for Install or Delivery Jobs
• Reviewing and creating process to enhance workflows
• 3
rd party crews and installers when necessary
Long term:
• All USA crews

Installs
• Review scope of week needed.
• Review manpower and number of days needed.
• See if there is any equipment needed for the crew to do the job
• If its not a GC project be sure to schedule the delivery (+ removal of garbage)
• Find installers (outsourced) in different areas
• Discuss with PM and crew scope of work
Deliveries
Scheduling all inside deliveries orders which entails the following.
• Review dashboard with all inside deliveries
o Schedule on calendar either with customer directly or with salesperson
▪ Consolidate locations accordingly.
▪ Be sure to check pallet count to fit on the truck
▪ Consider timing and manpower per delivery (ex: large items going downstairs,
building shelves takes a lot of time)

• Schedule pick up with the warehouse.
o Send ticket to warehouse with items being picked up
• Being in touch with Ryder regarding maintenance.
• Discuss with SP scope of work
• Figuring out deliveries based on size, place, and if items need to go by van
• Van vs. truck – when to send crew with van or other vehicle
• Dresscode – even for temporary helpers. Professional, work boots, never in sweatpants, hard
hats, gloves etc.

Basic responsibilities Summary:
• Crew Scheduling
• Scheduling Inside Deliveries
• Review each inside delivery and install prior to schedule date.
• Assign proper team and routes for each delivery/project.
• Manage team’s time and efficiency and set timeline expectations
• Review plans with sales team and project managers prior to install
• Add crews when needed
• Divide crew based on what they’re good at
• Weekly team meeting and reporting to management
• Create a written guide and training manual for install.
• Must have construction experience

members

Position Summary:
Culinary Depot is seeking a dedicated and experienced Crew Manager to oversee and lead our
installation teams. This position plays a key role in ensuring that commercial kitchen and foodservice
equipment installations are executed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of quality. The
Crew Manager will coordinate day-to-day field operations, allocate resources across job sites, and serve
as a critical liaison between the field teams and project managers.

Key Responsibilities:
Crew Leadership & Training
• Manage, direct, and motivate installation crews to complete projects on time and according to
specifications.
• Train and mentor crew members on installation techniques, safety practices, and company
procedures.
• Foster a positive and professional team environment, ensuring accountability and high
performance.
Project Coordination & Scheduling
• Plan and coordinate field installations in collaboration with project managers.
• Schedule manpower and manage crew deployment across multiple job sites.
• Anticipate project needs and proactively adjust plans to avoid delays.
Quality Assurance & Safety
• Conduct regular job site inspections to ensure safety compliance and installation quality.
• Enforce safety protocols and correct unsafe behaviors or conditions immediately.
• Ensure that all work adheres to project plans, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
Reporting & Resource Management
• Maintain accurate daily reports on job progress, crew hours, and project milestones.
• Track inventory of tools, equipment, and safety gear.
• Identify and communicate material needs for ordering to prevent delays.

Problem Solving & Issue Resolution
• Resolve on-site issues quickly and effectively to minimize disruption.
• Serve as the point of contact for any field-related challenges or escalations.

Qualifications:
• 3+ years of experience in a supervisory or crew management role in construction or foodservice
installation.
• Demonstrated ability to lead field teams and manage project execution.
• Strong understanding of safety standards and quality control processes.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environments and make informed decisions under pressure.
